Great house with superbe location, we enjoyed the spacious bedrooms and were lucky to have some really hot weather which made the bbqs in the evening all that more special. Thanks David and Alison for your help with the ideas for different walks during the week, we'll be back as we didn't get to do all of them !

Our party of four adults and 6 children stayed at Chalet Simone from 18/07/09-01/08/09. The Accommodation was excellent and much exceeded our expectations! - large spacious bedrooms which were cool even in mid-summer due to the thick stone walls and enough bathrooms/en-suites so that there was never a queue despite the size of our party! The downstairs living space is split between a large "ski-lodge" style kitchen/dining area and a cavernous living room - both of which are furnished and finished to a very high standard. Due to the size of the upstairs and downstairs accommodation the house would comfortably cope with the 16persons advertised - in our case a number of the rooms remained unoccupied save for when the kids used them for games of "hide and seek". Chalet Simone is only a few minutes walk from the all of Monetier's amenities - restaurants, bars, patisserie, public baths/spa, park etc and the view from the bedrooms at the front of the house is breath-taking. Owners Alison and David were very friendly and a pleasure to deal with.

Nous avons loué le chalet Simone du 8 au 22 août 2009. Cette location est excellente: très bien placée dans Monetier, quartier calme et ensoleillée. L’installation des chambres - spacieuses - est parfaite; elles disposent de salle de bains. La cuisine salle de séjour est bien équipée donnant de plein pieds sur le "droit de passage" habituel dans la vallée de la Guisane : pas de problème, les voisins sont sympathiques et discrets. Seul bémol: le salon, vouté, est un peu sombre; par contre s'il fait très chaud la température y est très agréable. En conclusion, connaissant bien la vallée, le chalet Simone est une excellente adresse pour passer de bonnes vacances familiales. Jean- Pierre Ferré
